My first bread loaf - Rum and Raisin French Toast Royale (Part 2)

And yes, I just said not sure if there's going to be a part 2 (french toast) but it was like an unfinished business.  It is still hard to keep away from eating the fresh loaf but the hint of rum with every bite of these moist eggy raisin goodness is worth every effort.

The egg custard was easy to make.  I let my less than 1 day old bread slices sit on the wire racks for 3 hours and they absorbed quite a bit of the custard.

I have decided to keep the rest of the fresh loaf and make more of these french toast tomorrow.  The regular french toast is good but rum and raisin french toast is BETTER!!
